Sometimes you need to treat yourself.. It’s called a cheat meal. This does not mean cheat day. It means one meal you splurge a little on and get that ice cream or burger you have been dying for. But just because it’s a cheat, doesn’t mean it has to be super bad.
One Sunday a few weeks back I decided to make myself a BLT sandwich. It was delicious and healthy.
Guilt Free BLT
Ezekiel bread- found in the frozen organic section
Low Sodium Turkey Bacon- No Nitrates added
Fresh Garden Tomato
Avocado slices
If you HAVE to have the mayo (it is your cheat meal) I would suggest Olive oil reduced fat mayo
Add some organic romaine lettuce
I microwave my turkey bacon to get it extra extra crispy instead of frying it. Option is yours. It’s quicker that way and less messy. I just use a paper plate and paper towels under and over the bacon and nuke for 2 min, flip over and nuke for 1.5- 2 more minutes.
I finished this meal with a fresh peach with plain Greek yogurt.
